Tools & Tech

✨The Pop Up Lab
Our current lab is a 40 ft wide x 70 ft long x 18 ft high heated dome. It is heated daily to the 50-60 degree range. The flooring is astroturf. It has one x 70 foot cage with room on either side to do extra work. It is considered a covered outdoor space and we take our covid protocols seriously. All athletes are required to wear masks. The lab is “pop up”, meaning we move it around to locations where the rent is cheap😆. Check out the tools and tech in our lab below👇

✨Batting Cage
Our batting cage is 20 feet wide, by 70 feet long, by 15 feet high. The netting is equipped with launch angle lines measured with angular lasers to create boundaries to encourage batted balls into optimal zones of the field. The lab is equipped with a full size portable mound.

✨Pitching Machines
Our lab is equipped with a high velocity three wheeled spinball pitching machine which allows for pitch speeds up to 100 mph. We also use a 2 wheeled machine for ground ball work as well as an additional curveball machine.

✨Other Tools
The lab has 3 tees and 100 baseball for use. We have a 42 inch screen set up to instantly mirror Iphone video and any other development apps. We have 5 live camera feeds which can record sesssions live and/or for later review by remote coaches, high school coaches, college coaches, etc. For those of you who leverage Driveline or Florida Baseball Ranch training we also have a plyo wall and plyo balls. In addition, we have a fully equipped weight rooms for use by a maximimum of two athletes at a time. Our skill sessions are a great option for doing your Driveline/FBR work!

Tools We Use To Challenge The CNS(hand eye coordination, reflexes, etc)

✨Synaptec Strobe Glasses
We use strobe glasses to further challenge an athletes CNS to adapt and perform under adverse conditions. The Senaptec Strobe eyewear is a sensory training tool designed to improve movement, balance and reaction time by removing visual information so the individual can process visual stimuli more quickly. This heightened sensitivity instantly sharpens and streamlines vision, improving one’s eye-hand coordination, movement, balance and reaction time.”

✨Oculus Quest 2-Win Virtual Reality Baseball
When we have group sessions athletes who are not actively swinging in the cage or on the tee will be utilizing this awesome virtual reality system which is designed to optimize pitch recognition and reaction times. Settings of the pitchers can be geared toward youth, high school, college or pro guys. So it is ideal for all ages!

✨Oculus Quest 2-Neuro Trainer
When we have group sessions athletes who are not actively swinging in the cage or on the tee will be utilizing this awesome virtual reality system which is designed to maximize athletic potential. “Neuro Trainer combines neuroscience, sports science and immersive media to build training, measurement and neuro-analytics where athletes improve focus, decision speed, and situational awareness that translates to overall athletic performance.”

✨BlazePod
When we have group sessions athletes who are not actively swinging in the cage or on the tee will be utilizing this world leading flash reflex training system to improve overall athleticism and response time.

✨HECOstix
When we have group sessions athletes who are not actively swinging in the cage or on the tee will be utilizing this little stick for improving reaction time and hand eye coordination.

✨The Hacky sack
The hacky sack is a fantastic tool for improving foot speed. It is also a great tool for improving foot brain awareness which helps athletes learn new footwork pattern more quickly. Generally its a great tool to improve overall athletic ability and body awareness.

✨The Nerf Rival Machine Gun
This little beauty shoots out marble size nerf bullets that are a fun way to develop hand eye coordination. We use both an under and over weighted stick bat. We also use the gun in fielding as well as using it on athletes who get out of line🤪

*Note: We leverage many other tools. We also highly encourage our athletes to play ping pong as much as possible. Baseball is a hand eye game. To be great you need to be refining those hand eye skills every day.

Tools We Use To Capture Data and Measure Progress

✨Stalker Pro IIs
In evaluating the various velocity capture devices we found the latest Stalker provided us with the most versatility and accuracy for velocity, spin rate, and exit velocity relative to alternative devices like Rapsodo, Trackman, etc. While also allowing us to take it out to monitor athletes velocity, spin rate, and exit velocity while they are in game, all of which you can’t do with Rapsodo and others. The app also allows for a unique video and data capture overlay. All velocity/and spin rate data is displayed live on the 42 inch tv during sessions. “The Stalker Pro IIs goes where no other sport radar has gone before. It is the only hand-held sports radar gun that measures baseball spin. No delay, no estimations, simple measurements. And it does it as quickly and easily as it tracks peak or across-the-plate velocity. Now you can take this all-important pitching metric with you wherever you go. Add to that, built in wireless connectivity makes the Stalker Pro IIs unmatched by any other device.”

✨Diamond Kinetics Pitch Tracker
Since the Stalker Pro IIS does not track spin efficiency and direction, we leverage the DK Pitch Tracker to assist us with pitch design and other pitch metric data capture and analysis.

✨Blast Baseball
For our hitting development we leverage Blast Baseball to monitor bat speed, attack angle and other metrics which when coupled with video and exit velocity are great tools for optimizing our hitter’s potential.

✨Sony Super Slow Motion Camera
The lab is equipped with a Sony RX100 IV which allows us to capture video at upwards of 1000 frames per second. We utilize this for pitch design, as well as pitch and swing mechanics.

✨Five x 1080P Live Feed Cameras
The lab is equipped with five HD cameras that allow athletes to capture and record sessions from 5 different angles. The sessions can also be accessed as live feeds for college, high school, remote coaches, or parents. For live feeds, only one viewer is allowed per camera. Check out one of the feeds below!

✨Video Analysis
For video analysis we utilize our very own Skillu.com and Coach’s eye. We mirror those apps to our 42 inch tv. These apps are great for Side By Side analysis.
